This is an umbrella project that brings together all our efforts. A
palpable result of this project is our software, GeNIe and SMILE. The
goal of the ESP project is to build a computational environment
that supports decision makers in making strategic planning
decisions. Atypical task that ESP supports is prediction of the
expected effects of strategic policy options based on a planning
model. The core of a model is a set of structural equations
describing local interactions among variables. These equations are
supplemented by the policy makers with values for policy variables.
The system then derives from these the causal structure of the model
and displays it graphically.
We are actively looking for industrial partners interested in
supporting their strategic planning needs.
